Good Morning,
This is me, your mechanical watch, talking to you.
I was originally in perfect condition when I was new or after my last service, and during the past years I have been your faithful servant, working day and night to give you the correct time.
But - I think I'm getting a little tired now. Just like your car, I need lubrication too. The oil I received last time has just about dried up. So, if you want to continue enjoying dependable service, why not let me have a check-up at Samter's Watch Repair again. He is the one who understands my delicate insides and treats me with skill and care.
He received this specialized training in precision work at the world famous watchmaking school of Bienne, Switzerland. After completing a 4-year course, he graduated, making a complete watch by hand which received a top chronometer rating by the Official SWISS Watch Testing Station.
Then, on to America, this great and wonderful country, where for many many years he has been doing just one thing: QUALITY WATCH REPAIRS WITH PRIDE in WORKMANSHIP.
So, for another year of dependable time-keeping, take me into SAMTER'S the Certified Swiss Watch Technician, who will put me in real good shape again. Then I'll really feel like ticking and I promise to be on time always.
Cordially yours,
Your Watch
p.s. Did you ever stop to think that your watch ticks 423,000 times a day, which is four times as fast as a human heart! And that the balance wheel turns as fast as the wheel of a locomotive travelling at 60 miles per hour!
